What does 連 record for each click?
For every click, 連 captures the device, operating system, source (referrer — i.e. which site or platform the click came from), country, the hour of the click, the /suffix that was hit, and the A/B variant tied to that click.
These fields let you answer the marketing questions that actually matter — which source drives the most clicks, which hours run hottest, which A/B variant performs better — instead of staring at a single lump-sum click count.
Where does the click data live, and can a third party see it?
Everything lives in your own Cloudflare D1 database. Your short links, click records and audience data all sit under your own account, and no third-party platform reads or resells your traffic data.

Because it's read-only, anyone you share it with can look but can't change your settings or data. When you need to dig deeper yourself, you can export the data as a CSV.
Do crawlers fetching the OG preview count as clicks?
No. When social or search crawlers fetch your short link to build a share preview (the OG preview), 連 does not count that as a click.
