Click-Cap Short Links: Auto-Expire After N Clicks|link
Last updated: 2026-06
Limited spots, first-N coupons, giveaway links — a common need is 'stop this link once it's been clicked a set number of times.' 連's click cap lets you set a count on any short link; once reached, the link auto-expires and stops redirecting, and visitors see a neutral 'this link is no longer active' page. It's a different expiry condition from a time-based expiry — use either alone or both together, whichever is reached first. Setting it is free.
How do I set a click cap?
Enter a 'click cap' number in the link's advanced settings (0 = unlimited). For example, 100 for a limited giveaway, 50 for a first-50 coupon. Once that click count is reached, the link automatically stops redirecting.
In the link list, capped links show 'clicks used / cap' so you can see remaining capacity at a glance, and 'cap reached' once it hits the limit.
How is a click cap different from an expiry time?
An expiry time disables the link at a point in time; a click cap disables it after a number of clicks. One watches the clock, the other the count — for different campaign needs.
You can set both; whichever is reached first expires the link. For 'first 100 people, or until Sunday', set the cap to 100 and the expiry to Sunday.
What do visitors see once it's reached?
Once the cap is hit, the link stops redirecting and visitors get a clean, neutral 'this link is no longer active' page — it never dumps people onto a promo page, protecting your (the sharer's) brand.
Links and click data live, as ever, on LUVAI's own 邊緣資料庫, isolated under your account, never sold and one-click exportable.
FAQ
What happens when the click cap is reached?
The link automatically stops redirecting and visitors see a neutral 'no longer active' page. It's ideal for limited spots or giveaways — it closes itself once the set number of clicks is reached, with no manual step from you.
Can I use a click cap together with an expiry time?
Yes. They're independent expiry conditions: expiry watches time, the cap watches count. With both set, whichever is reached first expires the link — e.g. 'first 100, or until a date' sets the cap to 100 and the expiry to that date.
How do I see how many spots are left on a link?
In the link list, links with a click cap show 'clicks used / cap' (e.g. 47 / 100) and 'cap reached' once hit, so you always see what's left. The count is based on clicks the system records.
